It does not turn that easily either but just turning the arm I have no reference what it should be. Once we found the worn worm gear we started focusing on that as the problem never to think that it still could be a symptom. However that being said, we took the Gemmer back off, put it in a vice, disassembled and reassembled and adjusted till it turns very smoothly with no resistance in the vice but once you put a little resistance on the output shaft it almost looks up the steering wheel. So from the response above we should just keep adjusting and it should start to turn easy? We certainly need to dig into the front some more too but I’d like to at least get the steering gear to work first.
