With the crankshaft turning clock ways and the camshaft turning counter clock ways and when you stand to the back of the engine you find the camshaft turning clock ways at the back. With the oil pump being driven by a pin thru the camshaft clock ways you might conclude that the oil pump would be turning clock ways also. If you place the vanes with the sharp side going forward that picks up the oil rather than the bevel side which would tend to ride over the oil it should do well.
