Still no replies on the help identify. Looks like I have something rare here. The frame doesn't look home built. There is no plate or name anywhere but it has been repainted with the tractor. The left end in the picture mounts to the same bracket as the Mott mower and used the same belt drive to the jack shaft, then another belt to the blower shaft and a chain drive to the auger on the left side. The H shaped frame has two turnbuckle style links to the tool lift bar (seen hanging down at the sides). It also has two small pulleys and a tube on the frame that looks like it once had some kind of crank and cables to turn the chute. I've only tried it a couple of times. It's a bit much for the G and the inertia from the auger keeps pushing the tractor after declutching. I do use the mower a lot, though. I guess I'll keep looking and asking. Mike

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
