I suggest you beg borrow or rent a hydraulic flowmeter and guage, with a capacity of 5GPM @3500 PSI. Plug it into the remote, if it has one. Otherwise check the shop manual, for the test port location. Pump is a 4 piston type, runs on a cam, from the engine to the PD clutch. To pull pump is a no-split proposition, but if the cam lobes are wore off, you have to split it. There is no set weight, AFAIK, that it should lift. Pump should put out at least 4 GPM @ 3500 psi. You might have some debris on the suction screen, or a hinkey relief valve.
