They want you to put a value on a family tractor? Generally best to have the seller set a price for you to consider when you buy anything. I think it"s even more important in a family sale that the seller(s) set an asking price. Too many repercussions from a disgruntled relative are a distinct possibility. It sounds cherry, and family value adds to the price- but I"d still let them research and decide. All too often, it bites you later from one PO"d SOB. Nothing brings out family values like an estate settlement. I"d recommend...you decline, they decide, you decide.
