Shut the gas off when you stop the engine. I do that because a 4 bucks a gallon I cant trust them. I hate those rubber tipped float valve needles. When they work they work when they don't they don't. Two in a row is strange. I don't have a fix except keep trying more different needles.
I had not shut the gas off my Farmall C all summer without a leak problem. Went out last evening to use it and the tank was empty and the grass was dead under the carburetor where it had leaked.
