I"m sure my buddy, old, is waiting for me to post my usual, positive msg about the AC Roto-Baler....that the KEY to making the baler work is to make the proper windrow....basically TWO curls, side by side, like the single curl you would make for a square baler. But, double them up! Beyond that, it is simple adjustments on the baler to make it work right. The Upper Midwest AC Club, Hutchinson, MN, put out an excellent pamphlet a few years ago about basic adjustments, and yes, without them, the results are crap. I bought an orange top last year for $200, don"t regret the price for a moment. Can you find them cheaper? Sure. More? yes. Dad had one from 1948-1965, same cast part broke twice- had it welded- we didn"t have a welder then....only repairs in all those years. Baled thousands per year. Dad was a stickler on me making windrows that worked, even tho I was only about 11 at the time.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
