Is it that you have a two mouldboard plow (like most of them are made) or do you have a two way plow with mouldboards pointed in opposite directions?
Both my fathers B and an uncles C had similar chain lift single plows with a coulter (a single disc that would cut the ground like a pizza cutter a few inches ahead of the plow) but a two way plow was an option.
With the two way plow you would use the regular plow to make your first furrow, turn around and make your next furrow with the opposite plow, letting you plow the field with half the gas and time. will try to find pic tommorrow.
