While shopping for decals for my WD-45 I noticed that they make ones that have "Allis-Chalmers" in blue lettering with a long A and S. Mine is a midyear '53 and I have a picture of my grandfather sitting on it shortly after his father brought it home and it has dark (he said it was black, pic is B/W) lettering with the A and S even with the rest of the lettering.
Also I noticed that some places (YT for example) have a short fat WD-45 decal in their kit. Rather than the tall skinny one both in my picture and on most other pictures out there.
Is there some reason that I am not aware of as to why company's would bother making what appears to me an obviously wrong product like this or am I missing something?
I wonder if early WD's had the blue/long A & S lettering as my '47 C did, but I am at a loss as to why they would carry that clear over to WD-45's
