I-400 is the industrial version of the D-10/12, Series III. The motor should interchange with D-10, D12, D-14 will need the manifold changed to a D-10/12 manifold (D-14's manifold puts the exhaust pipe about an inch further to the left of where the D-10/12 manifold locates it) The series III version of this motor should be 149 cubes. Check to see if there is a motor serial #, it is located on the block, about an inch forward of the tractor serial #, on the left side of the torque tube, where it meets the motor. If you can't read it, remember I400 should have oval muffler, I40 will have round.
