This 7 Inch Pressure Plate is superior to the original as it is made with ductile iron instead of grey iron, increasing the tensile strength by over 100% and more importantly allowing for a significant yield strenth. Cast iron is not flexible and shatters easily, whereas ductile iron is more flexible and elastic. This pressure plate does not include the bushing or the clamping bolt. If there is a funny smell coupled with limited acceleration, most likely your clutch is slipping. Try and adjust the clutch to see if this is all that is needed. If it doesn't help, or the smell is accompanied by a scratching noise, you need to replace the Farmall tractor clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing.
